During the job hunting season this year, graduates have adopted some new tactics to get a job. How much do social networks help? And are fellow graduate always competitors for the same post?

In Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, graduate students have been busy sharing information about job hunting through instant messages. Their online group has more than 100 members.

A graduate student said, "I often tell other students online about job interviews I‘ve gone through so far and give them some advice."

A graduate student said, "Sharing information can save time for everyone so we can focus on preparing CVs and interviews."

As well as instant messages, Microblogs also show the advantages of message spreading. Job vacancies, tips on interview technique and investigations into employers can all be quickly found.

Liu Yulei, deputy director of Student Management Office, said, "Out students often leaves us messages about job fair exhibitions and the background of employers."

And during interviews, students use all kinds of tactics to impress the employer. And rather than competing alone, many choose to join team games.

A graduate student said, "We often go to an interview together with our classmates. When talking to an employer, we would focus on introducing one of us, saying how this person suits the job description more than the rest of us.

Team playing does benefit many graduates. But the university is also doing its bit to help. It is now printing business cards for graduates with their contact information on them. It‘s a very popular in the campus. Job hunting may not be easy, but with help at hand, hopefully, the chances of success could be bigger for graduates.
