語法難點(diǎn)精析之十三：rather than,more...than,other than的用法

　　(1)rather than 用來表示“是。。。而不是。。。”，通常連接兩個并列成分

　　eg:He is an artist rather than a philosopher.

　　他是位藝術(shù)家而不是位哲學(xué)家。

　　(2)sb/sth is more A than B表示“與其說sb/sth是B，不如說是A”

　　eg:He is more an artist than a philosopher.

　　與其說他是位哲學(xué)家，不如說他是位藝術(shù)家。

　　sb/sth is not more A than B表示“與其說sb/sth是A，不如說是B”

　　eg:He is not more an artist than a philosopher.

　　與其說他是位藝術(shù)家，不如說他是位哲學(xué)家。

　　注意：這里的not more...than 與疑難短語(一)中所講的不同，疑難短語(一)中所講的not more...than所作比較的是主語和than后面的詞語，而這里所講的not more...than 所作比較的是than前和than后的詞語，要注意區(qū)分。
