 　　persuade 

　　persuade sb.to do sth.=persuade sb. into doing sth.說服某人做某事

　　persuade sb. not to do sth.=persuade sb. out of doing sth.說服某人不做某事

　　persuade sb. of sth.=persuade sb. that...使某人相信某事

　　try to persuade sb.to do sth.=advise sb.to do sth.盡力勸說某人做某事(但未勸服)

　　易混辨異

　　convince, persuade, advise

　　(1)convince是通過擺事實(shí)、講道理使人相信某個(gè)事實(shí);persuade表示用勸說的方法，使人愿意采納某種意見或采取某一個(gè)行動(dòng)。

　　What she said convinced me that I was mistaken.她的一番話使我認(rèn)識(shí)到自己錯(cuò)了。

　　(2)convince可接含of短語(yǔ)或that從句的雙賓語(yǔ)，還可用在convince sb. to do或be convinced of結(jié)構(gòu)中;persuade后可接含不定式或that從句的復(fù)合賓語(yǔ)，也可用在persuade sb. of sth.結(jié)構(gòu)中。

　　How can I convince you of her honesty?我怎樣才能使你相信她很誠(chéng)實(shí)呢?

　　(3)advise表示“勸告”的動(dòng)作，不看結(jié)果，而persuade強(qiáng)調(diào)“已經(jīng)說服”;advise可接動(dòng)詞的-ing 形式作賓語(yǔ)，也可接that引導(dǎo)的賓語(yǔ)從句(必須用虛擬語(yǔ)氣即should+動(dòng)詞原形),而persuade不能。

　　My friends advised him to see a doctor, but he refused all of them. Who can persuade him?我的朋友們建議他去看醫(yī)生，但他拒絕了所有的人。誰(shuí)能說服他?

　　(1)我禁不住勸說，參加了比賽。

　　I allowed myself to the competition.

　　(2)她勸我不要放棄工作，離開家人。

　　She the job and leaving the family.

　　(3)我還不能完全信服這個(gè)計(jì)劃的優(yōu)點(diǎn)。

　　I am still not fully the plan’s advantages.

　　She has determined on going tomorrow.

　　她已經(jīng)決定明天去。
