 　　1. ever since 自從

　　I haven’t heart from him ever since last year.

　　我自從去年以來就未曾受到過他的來信。

　　Ever since 引導(dǎo)的時(shí)間短語或從句作狀語常與現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)連用。

　　2. dream 夢(mèng)、做夢(mèng)

　　1) Vi.

　　做夢(mèng) dream a/an +adj. + dream “做了一個(gè)……夢(mèng)”

　　Dream a good dream 做了一個(gè)好夢(mèng)

　　夢(mèng)見 dream +that

　　She dreamed that they can fly.

　　在否定和疑問句中作“想到，料到”后接that從句

　　I never dreamed that he would be so handsome.

　　做夢(mèng)也沒有想到他如此帥

　　2)Vt.

　　dream about/for“夢(mèng)見;夢(mèng)想;向往”

　　I once dreamed of Dod.

　　我曾夢(mèng)見過上帝

　　3).最否定和疑問句中接介詞of “想到、料到”

　　I wouldn’t dream of hurting you.

　　3. persuade vt. 說服、勸服：

　　1)persuade sb. to do sth=persuade sb. into doing sth

　　說服某人做某事

　　I have persuaded him to give up smoking.

　　我已經(jīng)說服他戒煙理科

　　2)persuade sb out of (doing) sth 勸說某人不要做某事

　　We persuaded him out of his foolish plan.

　　我們勸他停止了他的愚蠢的計(jì)劃

　　3)persuade “是……相信”，后加that 從句

　　I am firmly persuaded that she was telling the truth.

　　我堅(jiān)信事實(shí)就是這樣

　　advise:只勸說，不一定說服

　　The doctor advised me to eat less meat.

　　醫(yī)生勸我少吃肉

　　3. graduate v.畢業(yè)

　　graduate from 從……畢業(yè)

　　I graduated from Peking University.

　　graduate n. 畢業(yè)生，大學(xué)畢業(yè)生

　　graduation n. 畢業(yè)

　　4. finally, in the end, at last

　　1) finally強(qiáng)調(diào)活動(dòng)過程的終結(jié)，“最后”“末了”一是在列舉事物或論點(diǎn)時(shí)引出最后一項(xiàng)內(nèi)容;二是在動(dòng)詞前面表示“等了好久”

　　2)at last 與finally的第二個(gè)用法相同，但往往用于一番拖延或曲折后，因而帶有濃厚的感情色彩。如不耐煩、不愿意

　　3) in the end 與finally 的第二個(gè)用法相同，而且能用于預(yù)卜將來，而at last和finally則不能
