 　　If a friend gets an invitation to a wedding, you can go with him/her, even if you don't receive an invitation yourself.

　　如果一個(gè)朋友收到結(jié)婚請(qǐng)柬，即使你沒(méi)有收到，你也可以跟他/她一起去。

　　· 基本用法

　　1. invitation n. 請(qǐng)柬;邀請(qǐng) (后面常跟介詞to連用)，an invitation to... 參加...的請(qǐng)柬 an invitation to the party/wedding 參加宴會(huì)/婚禮的請(qǐng)?zhí)?send out invitations 發(fā)請(qǐng)?zhí)?/p>

　　2. even if/even though意為“即使;就算” 。 連詞短語(yǔ)，引導(dǎo)讓步狀語(yǔ)從句。

　　I wouldn't lose courage even if i should fail ten times. 即使要失敗十次，我也絕不灰心。 He will come on time even if it rains. 即使下雨，他還是會(huì)準(zhǔn)時(shí)來(lái)的。

　　· 知識(shí)拓展--含義辨析 even if/even though與as if/as though

　　even if/though 意為“雖然，即使”，引導(dǎo)讓步狀語(yǔ)從句。表示假設(shè)，后面跟的情況不一定真的發(fā)生，也可 能不是這樣。

　　as if/tough意為“好像;仿佛”，引導(dǎo)表語(yǔ)從句，方式狀語(yǔ)從句等。用陳述語(yǔ)氣說(shuō)明事實(shí)或可能發(fā)生的事， 也可以用虛擬語(yǔ)氣說(shuō)明與事實(shí)相反的情況或不可能成為事實(shí)的情況。如： She looks as if she were ten years younger. 她看起來(lái)好像年輕了十歲。

　　He began to support his family even though he was just a little boy. 即使還是個(gè)小孩子，他開(kāi)始養(yǎng)家了。

　　During the church ceremony, the best man should help put crowns made of flowers

　　on the heads of the bride and bridegroom.

　　在教堂婚禮上，伴郎要幫助牧師把花冠戴在新郎，新娘頭上。

　　· 基本用法

　　1. help (to)do sth. 幫助做某事

　　2. made of flowers 是過(guò)去分詞短語(yǔ)作定語(yǔ)，修飾crowns，并與crowns有邏輯上的動(dòng)賓關(guān)系。 be made of 意為“由...做成的，制成的”，如 The desk is made of wood. 這張桌子是有木頭制成的。 注意be made of 與be made from 的區(qū)別：

　　be made of是可以看出由什么材料制成，be made from是不能直接看出由什么材料做成的。如： This book is made of paper and the paper is made from wood. 這本書(shū)是由紙做成的而紙是由木頭制成的。

　　A long silk ribbon that links the crowns is a symbol of a long and happy life for the couple.

　　連接花冠的長(zhǎng)絲帶，代表著一堆新人幸福長(zhǎng)久的生活。

　　· 基本用法

　　1. 此句為主從復(fù)合句，that引導(dǎo)的是一個(gè)定語(yǔ)從句，修飾先行詞ribbon. that在從句中作主語(yǔ)。此從句也

　　可以用關(guān)系代詞which來(lái)引導(dǎo)。

　　2. link n. 環(huán)節(jié);聯(lián)系，關(guān)系 v. 連接，連結(jié);聯(lián)合，結(jié)合;聯(lián)系在一起 Strong family ties still linked them together. 強(qiáng)烈的家族關(guān)系仍然把他們連在一起。 3. a symbol of.....意為”...的象征，代表“， 如： Dragon is regarded as a symbol of power. 龍被看作是權(quán)力的象征。

　　The letter "V" is a symbol of victory. 字母“V”是勝利的象征。
